We're looking for a Maritime GIS Manager to join our team!
In this role, you'll bridge GIS technology with real-world maritime challenges.
What you'll do :
Actively contribute to the Datahub team's daily tasks and administrative responsibilities.
Develop, operate, and administer the company’s production systems and GIS platforms.
Ensure efficient and reliable production operations.
Establish and maintain integrations with external systems, data owners, and data providers.
Design, develop, and enhance solutions to support production workflows.
Improve system performance through tuning, automation, and machine learning..
Ensure production and maintenance capabilities of various geodata products.
Contribute, with leadership, to the development of new production lines, products and services.
Lead the development of new production lines, products, and services.
Take ownership of professional tasks and lead projects from concept to completion.
Work closely with other NAVTOR teams, including Business Units, Product Managers, PMO, R&D, BackOffice and IT System Operations.
What we're looking for :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geomatics / GIS, geography, cartography, or related fields.Relevant work experience will be strongly considered.
Solid experience with modern GIS software such as QGIS, ESRI, FME, etc.
Strong general IT knowledge and skills.
Experience with development and automation using Python, R, SQL, PL / pgSQL, or FME is positive.
Familiarity with API development and usage for data ingestion is desirable.
Understanding of maritime standards and data value chains (e.g., IHO S-57, S-100, IMO requirements, navigational systems / requirements, INS / IBS) is a plus.
