Supply Chain Co-Ordinator

Advert Claxton are looking to hire a Supply Chain Co-Ordinator on a full-time permanent basis. Based at their facility in Stavanger, the Supply Chain Co-Ordinator plays an important role in optimizing the supply chain processes. This includes ensuring the efficient running of the warehouse, logistics, and procurement functions within the Norway site, with a further requirement to drive initiatives within the business.

The role will have responsibility for organizing and coordinating all domestic and international shipments to support operations and ensuring that all logistical arrangements are made in a timely manner in line with the logistics procedure. With support from the regional procurement team the Supply Chain Co-Ordinator will be responsible for local sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing of goods & services to support all operational activities.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and perform the full range of warehouse transactions, including issuing, returning, counting, and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where applicable.
• Control the flow of stock movements both internally and externally, and support projects and workshops with all inventory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate stock availability.
• Ensure materials are accurately counted, properly stored, preserved, and controlled according to established procedures and defined requirements.
• Monitor and maintain suitable Max / Min levels for inventory to meet business requirements and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Ensure goods and services are accurately received in Navision, and all relevant documents are promptly uploaded to the appropriate area
• Support the business by obtaining quotes and booking freight for local, national, and international shipments in a cost-effective and timely manner.
• Assist with the creation and completion of dispatch notes, commercial invoices, and import & export entries whilst compliant with all regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with freight forwarders to provide accurate and timely clearance instructions for Claxton shipments, to ensure smooth and efficient customs processing.
• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date dispatch, import, and export registers, ensuring all records are compliant with company policies and regulations
• Process requests for goods and services from the business, to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of all orders
• Source goods and services, obtain quotes and ensure that specifications, quality, budgetary costs, and delivery timelines meet the requirements of the requestor.
• Negotiate, place purchase orders, and communicate relevant information to the appropriate business areas and stakeholders
• Expedite orders in accordance with Purchase Order requirements, work with suppliers to maintain or improve requested lead times and update the ERP system and requestor accordingly.
• Coordinate rental requirements with suppliers for operational support activities and communicate delivery status to the requestor where applicable.
• Assist the Accounts Department with clarifying invoice queries
