The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet has one of the country’s finest paint shops, and several of our skilled painters are approaching retirement after long careers at the Opera. To ensure the continuation of our high professional standards and valuable expertise, we are seeking new colleagues to join our team.
We are announcing :
As a scenic painter at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, you will play a central role in realizing set designs for both opera and ballet productions. You will collaborate closely with national and international directors and set designers, contributing to the creation of visual expressions that move audiences.
The painting studio is part of our set workshops, located in bright and modern facilities in the opera house at Bjørvika. The workshop consists of 20 skilled employees across construction, metalwork, carpentry, decoration, upholstery, and props. The paint shop currently has five experienced scenic painters, and you will work closely with them as well as other craftspeople – along with stage technicians and technical producers.
