Engineering Manager

R. STAHL Tranberg AS is an international company specializing in lighting solutions, heating systems, and explosion-protected equipment for the marine, energy, and industrial sectors.

With advanced solutions designed for demanding conditions, we are a natural choice for our customers who require robust and high-quality systems.

From our office and production facility at Gausel in Stavanger, we develop and manufacture high-quality products and solutions, such as navigation and lighting systems for ships, helideck lights, heat trace and de-icing solutions, as well as products for hazardous areas.

Our current Engineering Manager has chosen to pursue new opportunities, and we are therefore seeking a replacement.

The department currently consists of 5 project engineers, and the role includes both technical and personnel responsibilities.

The position is responsible for all activities under the Engineering Department, including task distribution, etc.

You will lead the work and development of the engineering team and ensure optimal utilization of resources. The role carries both strategic and operational responsibilities and active participation in projects is expected.

ENGINEERING MANAGER

We are looking for a team-oriented individual with strong collaboration and communication skills, as close dialogue with departments such as production, sales, and product development is essential. This ensures that engineering projects are carried out efficiently and correctly, while supporting the company’s overall goals.

Preferably, you have experience from technical projects within oil and gas, possess Ex competence, and have leadership experience.

The position reports to the Technical Director .

Key Responsibilities :

• Plan, organize, and execute engineering projects, from concept to final delivery
• Communicate with customers and other stakeholders to ensure understanding of project requirements and expectations
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards
• Ensure that projects and products meet required safety standards and regulations
• Provide technical support and advice to the production department
