Contribute to advancing COWI’s work on data centre projects. As Structural Lead, you will manage design delivery on complex international projects, working with global clients and teams to create efficient, scalable and sustainable solutions.
Grow COWI’s international data centre business
Data centres play a critical role in enabling digitalisation, AI, and the energy transition and the decisions made today will define the resilience and sustainability of tomorrow’s digital infrastructure. At COWI, we are intensifying our focus on data centres and building our expertise to support clients in delivering the next generation of digital infrastructure.
We are therefore looking for a Structural Lead to join us on this journey, becoming an integral part of our growing organisation and helping evolve our international data centre environment through your expertise in complex projects.
As Structual Lead, you will bring your expertise in structural engineering into multidisciplinary teams, helping translate customer needs into robust and future-ready solutions.
You will be part of a professional environment experiencing rapid growth and strong strategic focus within COWI, with opportunities to deepen your expertise, grow alongside the organisation, and play an active role in shaping our approach to data centre projects and customer collaboration.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Act as Structural Lead on international data centre projects, accountable for scope, budget, and schedule for structural works
- Engage with international data centre clients and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust design solutions aligned with project delivery stages (e.g. RIBA stages)
- Support projects across the full lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through design, construction, and commissioning
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary international teams to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
- Contribute to the development of the department’s international market presence and business growth
- Guide and mentor structural engineers and designers
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.
On top of that, you will have:
- A degree in civil or structural engineering with solid experience from data centre projects or other large-scale mission critical projects.
- Experience working with engineering consultancy in multidiciplinary industrial projects, or complex infrastructure projects
- Experience leading structural engineering teams
- Professional proficiency in English
