Role Overview – Data Centre Technician
As a Data Centre Technician, you will be part of a dedicated team, working under the guidance of a Site Manager and Project Manager. You will contribute to delivering high-quality support activities within data centre halls, ensuring all work is carried out in line with agreed standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Install structured cabling systems (fibre and copper)
- Perform fibre optic installation and termination
- Install Wi-Fi systems
- Conduct network cabling audits
- Build data centre cages and pathways
- Work with hot aisle/cold aisle containment (HACS/CACS)
- Install IP CCTV systems
- Support active equipment installation
- Carry out patching and upgrades
- Participate in data centre relocation projects
- Manage adds, moves, and changes within the data centre environment
Qualifications and skills:
- Experience working in a data centre environment
- Experince from construction site
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems
- Fluency in both English and Norwegian language (written and spoken)
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset
- Driver license (B) required for this role
