Jobbeskrivelse

Job Description

The Distribution Development Manager is responsible for driving the strategic development, standardisation, and optimisation of the distribution function across the Business Area Europe. The role will establish and lead the Distribution Centre of Excellence (CoE), ensuring that we have scalable distribution processes, network optimisation, transport efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives that support both established and growing markets within our area of the business.

Working across multiple Market Units (MUs), the role acts as a key connector between other functions, including Finance and Service, as well as other business functions to create a more efficient, cost-effective, and future-ready distribution network. The position plays a critical role in translating business strategy into practical operational solutions whilst also balancing local market needs with Business Area priorities and KPIs.

Key Tasks:

  • Design, establish, and lead the Distribution Centre of Excellence (CoE).
  • Develop and implement a long-term distribution development roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive greater consistency, standardisation, and scalability across distribution operations in multiple markets.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable operational initiatives and measurable outcomes.
  • Implement a transport control tower, which focuses on cost control in transport.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of the distribution network to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Skilled at driving change and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Significant experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, warehouse operations, or supply chain development.
  • Strong understanding of transport networks, warehouse operations, inventory flows, and distribution planning.
  • Proven experience leading transformation, optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working across multiple countries, business units, or complex stakeholder environments.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to use data and insights to support decision-making and drive improvements.

  • Demonstrated success in delivering cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Proactive and results oriented.

  • Continuous improvement mindset.
