System Engineer - Dynamic Positioning Software

Overview

To strengthen our Dynamic Positioning System Support team, we now seek motivated engineers who are interested in working in an exciting, hectic, and demanding international environment as System Engineer Dynamic Positioning .

Vessels around the world use Dynamic Positioning (DP) to maintain position at sea using its own propellers and thrusters. This makes many offshore operations possible without the use of anchoring or mooring lines and DP plays an important role in today’s high technology offshore environment. You will be part of the division Global Customer Support, which is responsible for all Kongsberg Maritime service and support in the aftermarket. You will have the opportunity to work on systems installed on vessels operating worldwide, with primary product focus on the K-Pos DP system.

Key accountabilities

• Software service and support on our Dynamic Positioning systems
• Software upgrade projects, software configuration and modifications
• Implementation, testing, and verification both in office and onboard vessels all over the world
• Planned & On-call system support jobs

Qualifications and experience
