As society becomes increasingly dependent on data communications, the consequences of service outages and degradations become more severe. Technical failures, unplanned excessive load, design and implementation flaws in components, human error, and malicious intent all have the potential to interfere with critical applications that rely on the internet.

CRNA was established to address these problems. We combine world-class theoretical and empirical research on the robustness and security of ICT infrastructures with real-world critical applications that keep the society running. We collaborate closely with Oslo Metropolitan and other universities, as well as industry and public sector in Norway and abroad.

Our research is structured around two main pillars :

• Network resilience and sovereignty, i.e., research on networking architectures and mechanisms that keep critical networks and applications they support running optimally under any given circumstances.
• Artificial intelligence in networking, i.e., applications of AI to improve network performance, maintainability, security, automated repair and other features, as well as applications of networking in AI.

We operate a world-class laboratory and experimental facilities that encompass cellular network testbeds, IoT, satellite, and data center facilities.

CRNA is growing and looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow, full-time in a 3-year position.

Postdoctoral applicants must hold a PhD degree in computer science, telecommunications or electrical engineering at the start date of the position, and have a strong track record in scientific publication and dissemination.
