Overview

Software Architect (Contractor) – Composable Commerce & Event-Driven Design. 100% remote, with flexible daily / weekly hours (part-time). This role focuses on shaping the backbone of a modular, event-driven framework for Sharewise, a marketplace platform evolved by CobbleWeb – The Online Marketplace Experts.

We’re looking for a Software Architect contractor with strong expertise in composable modular architecture and event-driven design to support the evolution of Sharewise from a traditional platform into a modular, scalable framework that enables developers to build and extend marketplace features confidently.

We need someone who can help audit architecture, strengthen module isolation, promote event-driven patterns, and lay the foundation for clear extension hooks and integration points.

Responsibilities

• Audit and strengthen module isolation (reduce hidden coupling).
• Drive toward a stronger event-driven architecture (pub / sub over direct calls).
• Establish a foundation for customization : move from fragile inheritance overrides toward clear extension hooks, composition patterns, and well-documented integration points. Create a framework where developers can confidently adapt and extend features without destabilizing core systems.
• Make the platform easier to scale, extend, and maintain for both the internal team and external developers.
