About the role

As part of building our team, we are looking for a software engineer to help scale up Mender . You'll work on cutting-edge technology, tackling complex IoT device management and cloud infrastructure challenges.

  • Design and develop : Build and maintain scalable backend services for the Mender Server.
  • Scale our platform : Enhance our SaaS infrastructure to support millions of devices.
  • Collaborate : Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Automate : Enhance our CI / CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Ensure quality : Write tests, debug issues, and maintain robust code.

    • Required skills and experience

  • Experience : Minimum 7 years in professional backend development.
  • Languages : Proficient in any backend programming language (preferably Go and Python) .
  • Backend technologies : Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and message brokers.
  • Databases : Skilled with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Cloud and infrastructure : Familiar with Docker , Kubernetes , and cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud .
  • CI / CD : Knowledge of automated testing and deployment pipelines.
  • Security focus : Commitment to security best practices.
  • Agile practices : Comfortable with agile methodologies.
  • Communication : Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
