Job Title : Field Engineer

Department : AE&S Operation

Section : Field Operation

Commissioning for new building & refit projects
Supporting project engineering and software production
System Application & Test
Cooperating with site manager and other departments
Promoting teamwork and building human relationships within team
Warranty service and technical support for customers
Train and help develop fellow engineers
Provide technical support on Kongsberg’s Automation Systems
Responsible for timely and accurate start and completion of automation systems commissioning onboard
Interface with customer and internal engineering groups
Carry out actions to prevent errors within delivery and document any improvements needed

Qualifications :

Engineer or relevant technical education / experience

Team player

Service minded

Motivation and skills to handle several tasks at the same time

Analytic skills

Good knowledge of Kongsberg Maritime products, systems and applications

Experience working with K-Line products like K-Chief, K-Safe, K-Pos, etc

Experience in Automation & Controls systems for vessels with ability to produce and interpret technical documentation, troubleshoot low voltage electrical components, use of multimeters, etc. based on knowledge of general Electrical / Electronic control system concepts

Good verbal and written English knowledge, able to communicate with others
