Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud Database Engineer to join Tietoevry Banking, the leading financial services software and solution provider in the Nordics. We offer modular, pre-integrated banking-as-a-service solutions and market-leading software across core banking, payments, credit, cards, financial fraud, and wealth management. Our scale, expertise, and specialization empower financial institutions to enhance agility, efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation.

The Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) unit specializes in fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, and identity solutions in the Nordics. Our mission is to safeguard financial systems and society from criminal activity.

When joining Tietoevry Banking as a Cloud Database Engineer

Are you passionate about databases? At FCP, we offer a flexible position where you will have a leading role in managing and safeguarding our data. We are currently transitioning from on-premises to cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Managing and administering our cloud databases : AWS Aurora (Postgres), Clickhouse
Managing and administering our on-premises databases : Clickhouse
Performance tuning of databases
Implementing backup procedures and safeguards
Database upgrades
Assisting developers with database design and SQL

Who We Are Looking For

Experience managing and administering databases, particularly in a cloud environment

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering

At least 2 years of relevant work experience

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences

We believe you are a team player, proactive, responsible, and eager to learn and share knowledge. Communication skills and adaptability to new technologies are essential.

Desired Skills

Experience with Postgres

Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure

Understanding of DevOps, high availability, and operational infrastructure

Knowledge of Terraform
