Your role and responsibilities

ABB Process Automation and Energy Industries is involved in projects delivering electrical equipment and advanced control systems covering a broad field of applications, such as the oil and gas industry, subsea electrical systems, power from shore to oil installations, offshore wind, hydro power plants, onshore and offshore fish farms, and more. We are looking for a motivated colleague to be part of our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. This role contributes to the Project Engineering for electrical system design. You will be mainly accountable for :

  • Project engineering / system design for electrical systems for offshore and onshore plants.
  • Describing technical solutions and creating technical specifications.
  • Follow-up of delivery packages within our projects.
  • Participating in technical sales teams.
  • Implementing clients’ technical requirements by means of our product portfolio.
  • Installation and commissioning tasks.
  • Documentation.

The job represents wide contact with Norwegian and international clients and suppliers. Some travel activities must be expected.

Qualifications for the role

  • Capability and wish for undertaking responsibility.
  • Ability to seek and find simple and practical solutions for complex problems.
  • Initiative and co-operative skills.
  • Ability to execute tasks in an orderly and systematic manner.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant bachelor or certificate.
  • Written and verbal skills in both Norwegian and English language.
  • In general, we would prefer applicants with ambitions in professional and personal development.
