Technical Sales Engineer / Project Manager (Norway)

Norwegian Offshore Rental (NOR) was established in 2011 and has since grown to become an international supplier of rental equipment and services for offshore, subsea, and renewable energy (offshore wind). Our headquarters are located in Aksdal, with bases in Aberdeen, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, India, and representation in Brazil. We are one of the largest suppliers in the market and have ambitious plans for further international growth.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in achieving our strategic goals and ensuring that our customers perceive NOR as a serious supplier that is uncompromising on quality. The position reports to the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Send sales and rental quotes, follow up on contracts.
  • Ensure all documentation is sent before project start.
  • Learn the use, service, and maintenance of rental equipment.
  • Proactively develop business with new and existing customers.
  • Drive sales and seek new opportunities.
  • Participate in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) work.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for cross-hires and purchases.
  • Attend client meetings and exhibitions.

Competence Requirements

  • Relevant education in subsea operations, engineering, or a mechanical degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Good communication and CRM skills.
  • Proficiency in English as a working language.
  • The primary objectives for this role include ensuring all deliveries meet NOR standards and are timely, planning and coordinating deliveries with technical and logistics departments according to purchase orders and client communication, understanding and meeting client specifications and expectations, responding promptly to all client RFQs, managing time effectively to meet sales targets, and maintaining good margins on rental and sales contracts.
