Overview

Senior Account Manager - Production Chemicals role at Baker Hughes

Join our Production Solutions Upstream Chemicals Team. Our Upstream Chemicals team oversees technology solutions for hydrocarbon production, transportation and processing. We are a leader in oil and water separation technology and in solutions to control corrosion, deposition, and bacteria. We provide chemicals and support to enhance plant processes, improve productivity, manage water treatment, and resolve environmental issues.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onshore chemical sampling, testing and analysis completed offshore; support technical projects and chemical trials
  • Support day-to-day production chemistry for client assets, interfacing with relevant client functions and departments
  • Coordinate work allocation and planning, HSE investigations, employee development and training and performance feedback
  • Coordinate laboratory work scopes, provide technical assistance to support customer accounts
  • Manage chemical supply, stock projections and relevant forecasting

Qualifications

  • Have a degree qualification in Chemistry or similar science
  • Demonstrate relevant experience of working in production or oilfield chemicals
  • Show experience of supporting customer accounts and coordination of offshore activities, scheduling and forecasting
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers and teams
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and to resolve chemical production and scheduling issues
  • Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solving problems
  • Have good oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Be willing to work offshore occasionally
