Your work will span from understanding how market design can influence trading behavior to developing algorithms that detect irregularities. You’ll be part of a close-knit team, where collaboration and autonomy go hand in hand. By safeguarding market integrity, you’ll help accelerate the climate transition and ensure electricity is used in the best possible way.
- Areas of
- responsibility
- Monitoring and analysis of the power market, trade activity and price formation
- Development of our market monitoring system in Python
- Conducting investigations of possible breaches of laws and regulations
- Reporting and discussing with the national regulators where we operate
- Giving presentations on various topics internally and externally
- Counselling and training of market participants
- Working cross-function with Operations and IT departments
- Publishing our views on current events in the market in the form of newsletters, reports, and videos
- Participation in consultations with a focus on how imperfect market design may lead to opportunities for market abuse
- Qualifications for the position
- Master’s degree in subjects such as Economics, Engineering, Finance or Law
- Experience and knowledge from energy-related business, or recent graduates with experience of (energy market) data analysis
- Experience with programming (especially Python)
