As a Lab Technician you will be responsible for activities involving quality assurance on drilling and completion fluids at our facility in Mongstad, Norway.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of drilling fluids (Mud), and other products and services.
  • Responsible for the providing of laboratory testing and results.
  • Mixing and testing of fluids and generate laboratory data.
  • Ensuring the safety and accuracy of laboratory activities.
  • Responsible for maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Responsible for the labelling and storing of chemicals in the lab, also including the maintenance of the records and discharge of expired chemicals.
  • Pack and send offshore laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in recommendations and solutions to the offshore operations.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed training and further education in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a relevant subject.
  • A qualified Chemical technical assistant (CTA) or technician with good chemical knowledge.
  • Experience of working within a laboratory environment.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products.
