Location : The Stord yard will be primary work location, however occasional travels to other Sites might be required. Offshore travel is also a requirement for this position.
Assignment Description
- The insulation QC inspector is responsible for ensuring that all insulation work on construction projects complies with applicable specifications, standards, and client requirements.
- This role involves inspecting materials, verifying installation procedures, and documenting quality-related activities to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
- The QC inspector represents client in the execute phase of the Yggdrasil field development, ensuring client fulfil a consistent and risk based follow-up coating disciplines.
- Conduct inspections of insulation materials and installations (thermal, acoustic, fireproofing, etc.) to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Perform inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) to verify that all quality requirements are met at each stage of the process.
- Monitor and verify insulation work during various stages of construction, including pre-installation, in-process, and final inspections.
- Review and verify material certifications, batch numbers, and storage conditions. Ensure proper surface preparation and environmental conditions prior to insulation application.
- Identify and report non-conformances, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including checklists, reports, and photographic documentation. Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and other QC personnel to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in quality audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote safe work practices during inspections.
Qualifications
