Job Summary
Provides information, assistance, and service to customers. Assists in general stock duties, including processing and stocking of product, building and filling displays, and performing various customer service duties while maintaining a safe and sanitary shopping environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operates a cash register to assist with customer purchases.
- Receives, opens, and unpacks merchandise to replenish stock.
- Builds and fills displays; maintains back-stock areas according to department standards.
- Assembles displays and maintains merchandise on shelves.
- Maintains a friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, locating, and promoting products, and responding to complaints.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to company safety procedures; complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Engages customers to ensure they receive benefits of Ace Rewards and actively seeks participation.
- Adheres to all local, state, and federal laws regarding sales of restricted items.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Basic knowledge of cash register.Basic mathematical and counting skills.Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment.Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.Attention to potential hazards and ability to remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as reasonably possible.Must report any potential hazards that cannot be remedied immediately to a supervisor.Education, Experience And Qualifications
Minimum of 16 years of age required.Minimum of 18 years of age to operate and clean motorized equipment.Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.Physical Demands
