Overview
Vertiv are hiring a Customer Engineer with a background in Thermal management products in Norway. The role will be based out of home office / Norwegian office and require regular travel to client sites. The work is largely near Oslo and Stavanger, but candidates must be willing and able to travel to sites across all of Norway and Nordics. Responsible for commissioning, maintenance, component replacements and emergency repairs of Vertiv’s Thermal Management products as well as other contracted systems. Provide high-quality technical support to customers and internally. Establish, promote and maintain excellent relations with all customers, sales managers, distributors and others in the field. Maintain ongoing communication with scheduling teams and department Management.
As Vertiv face to face representative on site, your objective is to promote Vertiv as a professional service provider.
Responsibilities
- Respond in a professional manner to all assigned service calls while on duty.
- Perform all work in a safe manner and in accordance with established company safety policy.
- Perform all work using good working practice and current codes of practice / legislation relevant to assigned task.
- Assist in ensuring that the planned maintenance completion rate is maintained at a min 90%.
- Assist back office to schedule, plan and close any works as required, using established workflow procedures.
- Keep the scheduling team informed of changes to your schedule and the status of all open jobs.
- Submit daily paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner and, in the case of Wireless Field Service, ensure the job is debriefed in a complete and accurate manner at the customer’s premises where possible.
- Report sales or service leads to the proper department.
- Support company vision and management decisions.
- Ensure that all ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 agreed processes are followed
- Ensure that all Vertiv processes are followed.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and properly maintained.
- Protect all tools and company property issued and keep calibrated as requested
- Work as part of the service team and support business needs.
- Provide a positive influence to peers
- Provide on-site technical assistance with difficult problems
- Work closely with department managers, salespersons, contracts engineers & managers with their day-to-day operational duties.
- Attend customer meetings as required
- Ensure activities related to Export Compliance, Import Compliance, EU Arrivals and Despatching, and Supply Chain Security are performed in full compliance with the Company International Trade Compliance Regulation certification program.
Qualifications
Preferable 5 years’ experience of working in a technical service environment with Thermal equipment or similar, but the right personality is equally important.
