Job Description :
The Manager, Business is responsible for day-to-day marketing activities within assigned Division, Country or District in accordance with established Company and Divisional policies, procedures and standards.
What You Will Do :
- Stay actively informed concerning business and management developments affecting present and potential customers and communicate this information promptly to the appropriate manager or responsible party.
- Maintain constant vigilance regarding marketing activities of competitors, changes in business strategies, technical capabilities, marketing tactics, organization and management, especially other major classification societies, and communicate intelligence to the appropriate manager or responsible party.
- Assist in the development of short- and long-range business plans based on the projected business climate and the business plan.
- Assist in managing the development of project management plans.
- Assist in the development of business plans, materials, and tools to implement the business plan and budget, as approved, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure that ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System requirements regarding marketing activities within their area of responsibility are fulfilled.
- Keep informed of the Marine and Offshore Business as appropriate to their market, identify improvement and developmental needs, take action to capitalize on prospective market opportunities, and make recommendations for technology or technical tools necessary to implement new and improved products and services.
- Actively promote the services and capabilities of the ABS Business to customers and monitor the execution of similar activities by any assigned subordinates.
- Monitor the delivery and quality of services to customers in terms of customer satisfaction and communicate issues to the appropriate manager or responsible party.
