Overview

Gary Gottlieb was elected AES president for 2025. The president focuses on ensuring technology supports members’ experience with the society’s digital assets and enhances engagement at AES events, while advancing ongoing AES initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to advance AES programs in education, history, and events.
Strengthen member engagement through events and by fostering collaboration between student and professional sections.
Oversee technology initiatives that support AES digital assets, including the E-library, AES LIVE : Videos archive, and the Oral History Project.
Guide strategic direction and collaboration with sponsors, volunteers, and AES leadership.

Qualifications

AES Fellow with extensive service to the society and a record of leadership in sections and on the board.

Experience in education programs, events, and organizational leadership.

History of growing member engagement and guiding digital-asset initiatives.
