(Senior) Quantitative Analyst for Power Market Modelling

At Montel Analytics, we are independent energy market experts focusing on international market design, digitalisation, energy prices, and electricity and energy trading. Our expertise includes analysis, forecasting and modelling of energy markets and prices, scientific and practical studies, customised consulting services, as well as training and expert workshops. In this way, we aim to contribute to the 1.5°C global warming limit.

You will support our team modelling the European power market and creating power price scenarios with our in-house modelling software (Power2Sim). You will identify opportunities and new ways to invest in the energy system of the future. Your findings will contribute to the success of our clients\' solutions, helping them not only to slow climate change but also to generate positive cash flow from their investments.

Ideally, you will have experience in programming and quantitative methods. An interest in energy markets is required.

Responsibilities

• Fundamental power market modelling and data analysis
• (Further) development of existing and new products
• Reactive sales and client communication
• Liaise with research and consulting teams
• Project management
• Optionally : deliver seminars and training on electricity price forecasting and other energy market topics
