We are searching for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join us at our Stavanger office, Norway facility.
What You’ll Do
- Structural platforms for patient simulators
- Articulated systems for increased realism
- Plastics engineering for durable, lifelike components
- Rapid prototyping to accelerate innovation
- Injection moulding, additive manufacturing and other plastics manufacturing technologies for scalable production
- LEAN engineering principles to reduce waste and optimise efficiency
- Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) to streamline production
- Lifecycle Analyses to enhance sustainability and reusability across product lines
You’ll collaborate across disciplines to ensure mechanical integrity, durability, strength, flexibility, and sustainability in every design.
Responsibilities
Design and develop new product solutions to meet international safety and regulatory standards (EU, US, global)Conduct simulations and calculations to validate structural and fluid mechanics performancePrototype and test using advanced plastics technologiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design new productsPerform lifecycle analyses and contribute to sustainability goalsDocument solutions in PLM and PDM systemsFacilitate design reviews and write technical requirementsStandardise designs to increase reusability across product linesApply LEAN principles to streamline development and reduce costsReduce environmental impact through sustainable design choicesQualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bio-Mechanical Engineering3+ years of experience in product design and developmentExperience with CAD, simulation tools, and prototypingHands-on experience with plastics, injection moulding, rapid prototyping, and additive manufacturingFamiliarity with LEAN engineering principlesStrong collaboration and communication skillsExperience with product lifecycle management systemsWhy Join Us?
