Certified Electrical Installer & Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Engineer with Electrical Installer certification and an electrical background to strengthen the department’s focus within power electrics for our Energy & Power Systems products—both hardware and software. You will participate in upgrade and modification projects for our customers, from idea and sales phase, through planning and execution, and all the way to documentation.

As Site Installer, you will have responsibility for certification of our Field Service Engineers in projects where Kongsberg Maritime has the overall responsibility for the electrical installation.

As Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for upgrading Switchboard System solutions for our sailing fleet.

You will participate in taking ownership of how Kongsberg Maritime supports our customers throughout the complete product lifecycle. The position will involve some travelling, approx. 10–30 days / year.

Key Accountabilities

• Design solutions for lifecycle management (obsolescence, upgrades, replacements)
• Cost calculations
• Interface setup
• Attend supplier and customer meetings, equipment testing, and factory testing
• Reporting to Kongsberg Maritime’s Main Responsible Certified Electrical Installer
