Director of Hardware Engineering - GPU

We are currently partnered with a global leader in advanced computing technologies known globally for their cutting edge R&D, world class engineering teams, and strong company culture. They are looking to expand their team in Norway with a Director for GPU Hardware Engineering who will lead a globally distributed multi site team in delivering the future of GPU hardware roadmap.

This is a permanent role, offering hybrid working (2-3 days onsite per week), based out of Trondheim, Norway.

Key Responsibilities :

• Define and deliver the GPU hardware roadmap, driving technology that moves beyond incremental gains to market-leading performance.
• Lead and scale multi-site engineering teams across design, verification and implementation, ensuring strong delivery and cross-site alignment.
• Drive execution at pace—set milestones, manage dependencies, surface and mitigate risk, and ensure program delivery.
• Translate high-level strategy into clear team roadmaps, build scenarios that test assumptions, and pursue disruptive opportunities.
• Champion engineering excellence and continuous improvement—evolve processes and methodologies for efficiency, quality and scalability.
• Hire, mentor and develop senior technical talent; create succession plans and raise the team’s bar.
• Represent engineering with partners and customers; travel periodically to partner and customer sites.
