Freelance Wellhead Inspector

Intertek, a global leader in ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, is actively looking for experienced Freelance Wellhead Inspectors to join our network of freelancers and support multiple ongoing projects across Norway.

Job Summary :

The Wellhead Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality, integrity, and compliance of wellhead equipment and components used in oil and gas operations. This includes pre-installation, in-service, and post-operation inspections to ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., API 6A), safety regulations, and client-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform thorough inspections of wellhead equipment, including casing heads, tubing heads, spools, valves, and trees.
• Verify compliance with API 6A, API Q1, ISO, and client specifications.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, and pressure testing of wellhead components.
• Review material certifications, manufacturing records, and documentation packages.
• Identify and report non-conformances or damage to wellhead components.
• Generate inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and maintain proper documentation and traceability.
• Work closely with QA / QC teams, service companies, and drilling or completions teams on-site.
• Ensure safe inspection practices and compliance with company HSE policies.
• Witness assembly and pressure testing when required.
• Support audits and third-party inspection requirements as needed.
