Control Room Operator

Overview

Do you have a strong technical background, and do you want to become part of a team, who are running the operations and maintenance of the new Baggage Handling System at Oslo Gardermoen T1?

BEUMER Group is looking for individuals who are interested in working in a fast-paced environment with many opportunities for development. This is a fantastic role that will give you the experience of working throughout the complete system lifecycle from installation to service delivery, whilst constantly developing your skills and knowledge.

Delivering a reliable operation of a high-tech system

As Control Room Operator, you join our Residential Team who is running the Operations and Maintenance contract. The team is structured to provide a reliable and professional operation and maintenance support throughout the entire system. It is what enables the availability and throughput we promise. The team covers the BHS operation and maintenance tasks 24 / 7 / 365, working shifts.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Monitoring of SCADA-system, both in the control room and on the floor
• Fault finding ability including software level issues
• Ensuring handover of the system for the next shift
• Helping the Service Technicians, if necessary, with fault finding including software level issues

Other than the above mentioned, you have a wide use of our data analysis tools, with a high focus on continuous improvements, as you will monitor all systems and communicate with the customer and other relevant stakeholders, where you will also be given the opportunity to act as a trainer for the customer and other team members.

Your profile

On a personal level, you are self-motivated and eager to learn. You take ownership for the running and maintenance of the airport's baggage system, and you are a keen system improver who constantly challenges how things can be improved. Above all you are a team worker and are motivated by working together with other competent and enthusiastic colleagues.
