Overview
Technical Support Engineer , reporting to Team Leader Technical Support. You will be part of the Technical Support team, providing technical support on propulsion products to internal and external customers. You will contribute technical assistance to cross-functional projects and to the sales organization, and develop technical documentation for Global Customer Support. Your contribution will help the organization achieve its objectives and goals.
You will perform services through a product’s lifecycle, from commissioning live product to legacy and retirement. Our product portfolio includes conventional propellers, azimuth propellers, gearboxes, tunnel thrusters and remote control systems.
Key Accountabilities
- Technical support for internal and external customers within the Thrusters portfolio
- Support global field service engineers with technical advice during services
- Support Project and Sales organizations with technical solutions
- Quality assurance and technical product documentation
- Participate in out-of-office-hours support on a 1-week duty cycle
Qualifications And Experience
Technical education and / or experience from relevant industry is beneficialStrong and relevant technical knowledge with Thrusters equipment and maritime operationsPractical hands-on experience from services is an advantageFluent in both spoken and written English and NorwegianYou are able
