About SSP Iceland

SSP is a global leader in food & beverage and retail operations in travel locations, with a strong presence at airports and train stations worldwide. In Iceland, we operate a variety of brands at Keflavík Airport, delivering excellent service and high-quality products to travellers daily. We are currently operating the brands Point, Elda and Jomfruin at Keflavik Aiport.

The Role

As an Operations Manager , you will oversee the daily operations of our Retail & F&B outlets at Keflavík Airport. You will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring exceptional customer experience, and managing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership – Oversee the daily operations of multiple Retail & F&B units, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

Team Management – Lead, motivate, and develop a large and diverse team, ensuring high engagement and performance.

Financial Performance – Drive sales and profitability by implementing strategies to optimize revenue and cost control.

Customer Experience – Ensure outstanding customer service and uphold SSP’s high standards of quality and hospitality.

Compliance & Safety – Ensure all operations comply with food safety, hygiene, and airport security regulations.

Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with airport authorities, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in operations management , preferably in retail, hospitality, or F&B.

Strong leadership and people management skills, with a passion for coaching and developing teams.

Excellent communication skills in English (Icelandic is a plus).

A results-oriented mindset, with experience in sales, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic airport environment.

Experience with airport operations or travel retail is an advantage.
