Seeking COO Chief Operating Officer at ROEST

ROEST, a leading Norwegian tech scale-up, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive our next phase of growth. Over the past 10+ years, we have built an international success story by redefining coffee roasting using sensor technology. We are now serving leading coffee customers in over 90 countries. ROEST has a Red Dot Award for its innovative first product and was named the national “Gaselle” Company of the Year for its rapid growth in early 2023. But we are just getting started.

With the launch of our new production roaster, we are now set to scale significantly in the coming years. To support this growth, we need a strong people-focused leader who can ensure effective operations while fostering a high-performing team, and we look forward to seeing if this is you!

About the role

As ROEST’s COO, you will be responsible for daily operations across all departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. This role is heavily focused on people management, requiring a leader who can empower and develop our team while working closely with the founders (CEO & CTO) and department heads on execution. Key responsibilities :

Strategy : As a key member of the executive team, contribute to the development and refinement of company strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market opportunities.

Operations : Oversee and optimize daily operations across departments, identify opportunities and initiate action plans to ensure ROEST has highly efficient, scalable and quality-oriented operations.

Growth : Drive sustainable growth by ensuring our processes, systems, and teams evolve in line with our expansion, scaling in a way that strengthens both our business and our culture.

Who you are :

Execution oriented : you are a doer and a problem solver, with a focus on efficiency and data.

Proven leader : you have well-documented experience in leading teams and empowering the team and department heads to drive growth.

Technical savvy : you have a strong understanding of tech-driven business models, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.

Scaling expert : you are experienced in scaling organizations, optimizing operations, and executing strategic plans.

Structured and strategic : you can balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail. Develop clear strategies while ensuring structured execution, effective processes, and thorough follow-through.

Requirements :

Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.

A master's degree in business, economics, technology, or a related field is preferred.

Oslo-based or willing to relocate : the role is based in Oslo, Norway.

Passion for coffee : You have a genuine love for coffee and an appreciation for the industry.

A deep understanding of startup culture, or experience from tech companies and / or manufacturing.
