About the role :

As an QHSE Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference and contribute to our mission of excellence in health, safety, and environmental practices.

You will serve as a support function to the Manufacturing team specializing in Lifeboat manufacturing. In collaboration with the QHSE team, you will work continuously to enhance the quality, health, safety, and environmental standards at VIKING. However, your primary responsibility will be to emphasize the importance of safety routines and the necessarily use of equipment within the production in Norway and Greece. This role requires a hands-on approach, spending significant time on the production floor to assist with deviations, conduct risk assessments, and contribute to the development and improvement of these processes.

The key tasks and responsibility :

  • Provides field HSE support and guidance throughout all activities
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Assist teams to deliver an exemplary HSE performance
  • Participate in Lessons Learnt and follow up actions
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
  • Foster a safe culture by being informed, mindful, learning, fair and respectful
  • Provide training sessions as per Training Plan & Competency development requirements
  • Measure required environmental parameters and workplace assessments

Job qualifications :

  • Higher relevant education
  • Relevant experience within the discipline
  • Long relevant experience may compensate for the formal education requirement
  • Personal skills :
