Kongsberg Maritime is searching for an IT Coordinator  to join our local IT department in Trondheim. As our IT Coordinator , you will be working on-site, and your main responsibility will be to support all our users and complete local maintenance. You will be working with employees from different departments and divisions and collaborate with the central KONGSBERG IT team.

To succeed in this role, you should be able to deliver service to users, work efficiently, be concerned with quality, and be willing to learn and develop. Customer understanding and being service-minded are needed together with good communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.

Key accountabilities

  • Perform local IT support and assist KONGSBERG IT with issues regarding local IT infrastructure (network and servers)
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot computers onsite (laptop & desktop)
  • Set up monitors, docking stations, PCs etc. for users
  • Install and maintain meeting rooms and video conference equipment and perform local printer support
  • Manage and maintain local servers
  • Technical assistance on bridge and crane simulators for our Training & Advisory Services department
  • Train new employees in basic setup of laptops
  • Manage access control

Qualifications and experience

  • Certificate of apprenticeship within IT, or relevant education / competence within IT
  • Experience from IT Support within networks, hardware and software
  • Experience with troubleshooting
  • Good technical understanding
  • You must meet safety requirements from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority : Norwegian citizen for the last 5 years and clean criminal record.
  • Communication skills in Norwegian and English both verbal and written

    • This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
