Job Description

We are responsible for Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Project Management Office (PMO) tasks for the IT organization. We are located inside the IT Project Management department, but please be aware that this is not a Project Manager position.

Within PPM , we are responsible for offering, maintaining and running the governance, process and tools for Demand Management, Prioritization and Capacity Management for IT’s portfolio of projects and improvements. In addition, we are responsible for portfolio reporting. Within PMO, we are responsible for Project Management methodologies and tools, support to Project Managers, quality assurance, training and onboarding, and knowledge sharing between projects.

We seek two (2) new team members, that will help us on the journey of building up and running the PPM and PMO unit. As a member of the team, you will take part in the following activities :

  • Portfolio Management forums : organize, prepare and facilitate recurrent meetings, to review, analyse and recommend approval of new IT demands, incl. addressing resource constraints and re-prioritization of demands.
  • Support Demand Managers with the tool and process used for capturing, sorting and prioritizing demands.
  • Analyse and identify process gaps, where process or tool are not being followed or there’s room for adjustment / improvement and involve necessary stakeholders to find solutions and implement them.
  • Analyse portfolio data and create management reports with relevant indicators, trends and recommendation.
  • Capacity Management : use data available to analyse overall capacity, need and allocation for the IT portfolio of projects and improvements. Identify resource constraints and bottlenecks, conducting alignment meetings with stakeholders to address impediments according to priorities in the portfolio.
  • Quality assurance : analyse portfolio data to identify which projects should undergo reviews and conduct them, to ensure the necessary project management process and routines are being followed. Provide structured quality checks of projects and project documentation, as a gatekeeping mechanism for decision gates.
  • Knowledge Management : conduct training and onboarding sessions focused on Project Management, for Project Managers and other project roles. Facilitate knowledge sharing between projects. Maintain and improve training materials (guidelines, “how-to” documents, e-learning etc)
  • Project Management models and tools : support project managers and project teams with questions, while also identifying improvement opportunities and working to implement them.

By joining the PPM & PMO team, you will participate in building a new department, processes, and tools, serving a large IT department, with direct contact to several stakeholders.

Qualifications

We are looking for PPM and PMO professionals interested in being part of the team with a clear “Can Do” mindset and the essential skills to future proof our business and renewable energy solutions. We believe this includes :

  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management and / or Project Management Office’s routines.
  • Experience with different Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Continuous improvement and process-oriented mindset, with focus on concrete deliveries and change management.
  • Higher education at university level or equivalent.
  • Team player attitude, collaborating and contributing for an inspiring work environment.
  • Good communication skills, proactivity, and stakeholder supportive attitude.
  • Fluency in English.
