A wide range of tasks

  • You will be responsible for the ongoing development of our AWS environment to ensure efficient, high-performance and secure operation. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of high-performance and scalable cloud data platforms.
  • You implement effective security measures and monitor compliance across our entire infrastructure
  • You carry out detailed error analyses and rectify specific infrastructure problems
  • You develop and monitor our CI / CD pipelines to optimize automated deployment processes.

    • Convincing profile

  • Education : Completed studies in computer science or a comparable education
  • Professional experience : several years of experience in AWS cloud services and in the management and optimization of AWS environments, including EC2, S3, RDS and backup
  • Knowledge :

    • Monitoring tools (Cloudwatch / Grafana) including configuration and administration

  • Cloud environments (AWS / Azure) and tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
  • Platform engineering and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), in particular Terraform
  • Programming languages such as Python, Java, PowerShell
  • Creating Lambda Functions
  • Soft skills : high degree of personal responsibility and excellent teamwork and communication skills

    • About the area

    In the course of further digitalization, the existing IT landscape for the areas of gas network operation, connections, public relations, finance and controlling as well as regulation will be transformed to meet the new requirements and options of digitalization from the Digitalization & IT department of NGS. For this purpose, we are looking for highly motivated reinforcement in the area of digitization & IT at NGS at the earliest possible date.

    Our small team currently works mainly remotely from home, but meets at least once a month on site at the Ettlingen office so that the social component is not neglected.
