Job Title : Network Engineer

Overview :

Job Description Summary

Network Engineering team is looking for a dynamic and experienced network professional to work on the implementation, security, and support of large, multi-site, multi-vendor network environments.

Major Accountabilities :

  • Manage and implement medium to complex networks in multi-domain environments using industry-leading technologies and platforms.
  • Partner with design and platform teams to implement network designs as per requirements. Work on new and re-architected network segments to support new requirements, technologies, and growth.
  • Effectively triage and solve problems.
  • Maintain good communication, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Support regional projects, including planning, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Automate processes and tasks to increase efficiency.

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industry-leading certifications (Cisco, Checkpoint, Arista, etc.) are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge / Experience :

  • 5+ years of IT experience in network automation / scripting with Python, Ansible.
  • Hands-on knowledge of network fundamentals and operations.
  • Experience managing and deploying medium to large-scale networks with Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Arista, Checkpoint.
  • Awareness of project management methodologies.
  • Strong skills in network diagnostics, BGP, VPN, DMVPN, MPLS, SD-WAN.
  • Understanding of network architecture and trends, including traditional, cloud, spine / leaf, segmentation.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls and security methods.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining detailed process documentation.
  • Skills / Abilities :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with good listening skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Team player and capable individual contributor.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision; work may be reviewed for strategy and direction.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Occasional local or domestic travel.
  • Availability for occasional weekends or weeknights for planned work.
