About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Nordic eID team. Someone who combines strong people leadership with the ability to remain hands-on as a Senior Software Developer.
This role balances two key responsibilities :
- Engineering Leadership : line management for developers, building a high-performing, collaborative team, and ensuring we stay up to date with the latest practices and technologies.
- Hands-on Development : actively contributing to the codebase, solving complex problems, and helping shape our technical direction.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager who is ready to lead a team without losing touch with the craft of software engineering.

Proven experience in people management (line management, team leadership, or equivalent).5+ years of professional experience as a Java developer (Spring, Spring Boot).Strong background in cloud and DevOps (GCP, Terraform, CI / CD).Familiarity with observability and incident management (monitoring, logging, tracing, DORA metrics).Experience building and integrating REST, SOAP, or gRPC APIs.Track record of working in agile teams (up to 10 individuals).A genuine passion for both engineering and leading people.What we consider as a plus
