We are seeking a Rope Access qualified NDT Inspector with ET, MPI, and UT Level II certifications to support inspection activities in the offshore oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will carry out non-destructive testing and inspection tasks at height using rope access techniques, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering accurate, high-quality inspection results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform NDT inspections (Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasonic Testing) on Jack Up Drilling Unit using rope access methods to safely access egress areas at height.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections in line with project requirements and industry codes.
  • Conduct critical weld inspections by eddy current inspection techniques.
  • Conduct splash zone inspections including UTM inspection techniques.
  • Ensure rope access operations are carried out safely, following IRATA standards and offshore safety procedures.
  • Undertake pre-use checks, rigging of equipment, and safe setup of access systems.
  • Accurately record, interpret, and report inspection results to clients and project teams.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, work packs, and planning of inspection activities.
  • Support rescue preparedness and emergency response procedures as part of the rope access team.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and assist with mentoring less experienced rope access / NDT personnel.
  • BOSIET including OGUK Medical
  • Valid IRATA Level III Rope Access Certification.
  • Valid SNT / PCN Level II Certification incl. ECT, MT and UT
  • Previous offshore MODU Class Inspection Experience
  • Strong communication and Team Leader Skills
  • Strong knowledge of offshore safety standards (e.g., PTW, confined space, H2S, working at height).

Qualifications & Experience

  • ROPE ACCESS qualification with IRATA
  • ET, MPI, and UT Level II certifications
  • Experience performing NDT in offshore environments, including Jack Up Drilling Units
  • Offshore safety training and medicals as required (e.g., BOSIET, OGUK Medical)
  • Knowledge of PTW, confined space, H2S, and working at height protocols
