Who are we?

NEC OncoImmunity AS is a bioinformatics company offering proprietary machine-learning based software that predicts immunogenic neoantigens for personalized cancer immunotherapy and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19.

We are dedicated to developing scalable software solutions that facilitate effective patient selection for cancer immunotherapy, and identifying optimal neoantigen targets for truly personalized cancer vaccines & cell therapies in a clinically actionable time frame.

Our growing international team (16 countries and counting!) consists of a diverse mix of data scientists, bioinformaticians, immunologists, cancer researchers, and software engineers.

NEC OncoImmunity AS is a subsidiary of NEC Bio, with offices in the Oslo Science Park building in Oslo, Norway.

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure / Platform engineer to join our team.

In this position, you will :

Take ownership of designing and implementing our next-generation infrastructure, utilizing a blend of powerful bare-metal servers, cloud resources and on-premises hardware.

Evolve our architecture to meet future market needs, such as developing GPU-accelerated and clustered compute platforms tailored for our machine learning and scientific workloads.

Refine and develop our approach to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation tooling.

Enhance our pipelines by integrating monitoring, profiling, observability and alerting solutions.

Document your solutions and provide technical guidance for colleagues and users of NEC OncoImmunity's products

Your profile

Located in (or willing to relocate to) Oslo, Norway.

Higher education engineering degree, e.g. IT / Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Several years of experience working with infrastructure engineering and server administration.

Several years of experience working with Unix systems (we mainly use Ubuntu for our servers).

Several years of experience working with cloud services (we use Google Cloud Platform).

Experience in automation management tools such as Ansible and Terraform (both are currently used).

Experience with Kubernetes.

Experience with container technologies (Docker).

Experience managing and optimizing GPU infrastructure for AI and computational workloads.

Familiarity with the Python programming language is beneficial.
