Overall Purpose of the Job

To deliver new & profitable business across the area of responsibility, providing technical support to the Client and operations teams. Ensure that the appropriate technical solutions are developed to satisfy Client requirements whilst maximising company product line & expertise. Provide correct technical input to enable appropriate sales strategies to be developed & to measure & report on business activities.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • Identify opportunities for marketing and technology, seeking new business, and developing appropriate strategies for delivering them in conjunction with the Business Development Manager.
  • In addition, respond to tender and quotation requests, ensuring that commercial evaluations are conducted. The following responsibilities are essential for this role :
  • Conduct business cases and compile BERs
  • Ensure the provision of first-line specialists and technical liaisons with clients and company operations / product line teams
  • Work in close liaison with operations / product line teams to assist in the delivery of new technology to clients, ensuring the flow of information
  • Establish regular liaison with clients and support operations teams in driving improvements / opportunities for increasing revenue
  • Develop presentations for delivery to clients / potential clients, attending meetings, technology gatherings, etc.
  • Disseminating information on company products and their capabilities
  • Offering forecast and budget support to product lines and regional organizations
  • Collaborating with clients on technology initiatives to enhance performance and improve margins
  • Generating reports according to schedule and ensuring the Salesforce database is kept up to date
  • Conducting client technical audits in accordance with company policy and in a timely manner
  • Liaising with internal and external departments to ensure that all information is circulated as appropriate Ensure that client questions and queries are resolved in a timely manner. Liaise with the manager on any issues or concerns.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and anti-bribery policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained. This will minimize exposure to liability or risk of company reputation.
  • Report possible violations and / or conflicts of interest.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Hold a Professional Qualification (preferably in a technical area)
  • Extensive work experience within a Technical or Sales role (preferably in line with a company product line)
  • Financial awareness in relation to tender / quotation / budget process
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint & Databases (previous working knowledge of Salesforce would be an advantage)
