The Regional Sales Manager
Promotes the sales of electric bus fleets in Benelux by developing and maintaining high-level contacts and relationships with existing and potential customers (PTA and PTO). The manager also coordinates activities of supporting teams at HQ and in the Netherlands related to regional tenders and orders.
The Regional Sales Manager Benelux is part of the e-bus sales department and reports to the VP of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, supervise, and support the activities of the BYD team in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, including sales, tender specialists, and aftersales teams (in coordination with the After-sales Manager Europe).
- Generate and maintain contacts with cities interested in sourcing electric buses.
- Provide cities with information needed to design bus tenders using a consulting approach.
- Lead the supporting teams at HQ and in Europe to prepare tender bids.
- Ensure achievement of sales and profitability targets for Benelux.
Main Duties
Draft a plan of cities to approach based on volume and repeatability criteria.Initiate and maintain contacts with city officials and bus operators.Define customer requirements, delivery times, and costs.Report pipeline status regularly.Ensure sales targets and margin goals are met.Manage the regional sales team.Profile
Minimum 5 years’ experience as Sales Manager or Country Manager in the automotive field, preferably bus sales.Business-related bachelor’s degree.Excellent English, Norwegian, and another European language skills.Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.Certifications in Value-added selling and high-level negotiation are highly appreciated.Ability to work with international teams, positive attitude.Excellent negotiation, creative thinking, analytical reasoning, and listening skills.Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.We Offer
