Vard Design & Engineering is a part of VARD and leading in development of advanced and specialized vessel designs. Duties And Responsibilities

Are you enthusiastic about engineering and curious about shipbuilding?

Join us and you will play an important role in the development of machinery systems within Vard. In this role, you will work and collaborate both with the Machinery team and cross-functional teams to design complex ships of tomorrow.

Lead equipment integration activities – connecting and coordinating various machinery and systems for seamless operation.
Drive the design and development of ship and machinery systems, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with regulations.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure clear understanding and delivery of project requirements.
Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives within the department, contributing to process and workflow enhancements.
Coordinate and / or execute projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

Bsc or Msc Ship Design / Mechanical Engineer

Knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

Good knowledge in English language, both oral and written

General interest in technology and design

At least 4-5 years of relevant work experience

Experienced in rules and regulations related to ship design and ship building

Personal qualities

Team player

Ability to solve complex issues in a structured manner

Capacity to complete tasks on time

Good cooperation and communication skills
