Bicycle Mechanic (any gender)
Join us as an e-bike mechanic at Whee!
Join Our Team : E-Bike Mechanic & Assistant Positions Available!
We’re excited to welcome individuals from all genders and nationalities to join our diverse team in Oslo for two key roles : E-Bike Mechanic and E-Bike Assistant . Whether you're passionate about bikes or looking to kickstart your career in e-bike mechanics, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
About the Roles :
E-Bike Assistant (Temporary, October 1st – December 15th) : This role is a chance to get hands-on with e-bikes and learn the basics. You’ll be helping with things like washing bikes, changing tires, and giving the team a hand in the workshop. It’s a good starting point if you’re curious about working with bikes and want to build up some experience. By the end of the season, if you’ve enjoyed it and we’ve got spots open, there’s a possibility to stay on as a mechanic.
E-Bike Mechanic (Permanent Possibility) : From the assistant role, there’s room to grow into a mechanic position if it feels like the right fit. Mechanics take on more of the technical work and make sure our bikes are ready for the road. If we still have space on the team and it’s a good match, this can turn into a permanent spot.
What We’re Looking For :
Passion for Bikes : We’re seeking individuals who have a strong interest in bikes and e-bike mechanics. You don’t need prior experience; we’ll provide full training.
Great Attitude : Above all, we value good people. If you’re friendly, enjoy helping customers, and have a clean, organized work style, you’ll fit right in.
Fast Learner : We need someone who picks up new skills quickly, loves problem-solving, and works well both independently and as part of a team.
Diversity & Inclusion : We believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome, regardless of gender, nationality, or background. We value a diverse team and are looking for individuals who share this commitment.
Your Daily Tasks :
Washing and maintaining utility and e-assist bikes
Lubricating chains and drives
Performing checkups, adjustments, and wear part replacements
General bicycle repairs and new bike assembly
Data registration and customer service
Accessory adjustment and assembly
Maintaining and organizing the workshop
Requirements & Training :
Language : You should be comfortable communicating in English or Norwegian.
Experience : If you have a background in mechanics or a relevant certificate, that’s a plus, but not a requirement. We’ll provide comprehensive training and support in gaining certifications.
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 08 : 30 - 16 : 30.
Contract Type : Temporary positions available from September 1st to December 15th, with the possibility of a permanent role based on performance.
Salary : We offer competitive pay, good working conditions, and opportunities for development and increased responsibility for the right candidate.
Why Work With Us?
We’re passionate about creating a positive and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We believe in the importance of practical sustainability and are committed to building a great working environment where you can grow and make a real impact.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
