Overview

Manages supplier negotiations to maximize quality, schedule, and price / service benefits and manages suppler management to facilitate performance and realization of cost savings. Prepares and evaluates bids / proposals to ensure the best value proposition for TDW via an open and competitive sourcing process.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to :

Ensure contracts are commercially managed for performance, value and risk.
Develop effective relationships with key functional stakeholders.
Ensure any identified category / suppler risks are managed and track key suppliers for any issues that may affect their ability to supply products(s).
Maintain supplier communication to include their workflow and workload for assistance with evaluating their capabilities and capacity.
Ensure alignment with operational contract managers.
Liaise with business stakeholders and management team and ensure initiatives are appropriately managed.
Assist with training of category buyers to ensure processes and procedures are followed.

Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Evidence of responsible / sustainable procurement activities minimum 3 years

Procurement experience with a working knowledge of procurement methods, procedures, and processes requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong negotiation skills

Ability to understand cost drivers and how to breakdown cost structures

Ability to understand legal contracts

Microsoft Office suite

Proven collaborator who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas : excellent communication, interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills, solid organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to be self-directed.

Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
