We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead projects within Kongsberg Automotive’s Drive Control Systems business area. This role involves managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that goals, budgets, and timelines are met while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects for KA’s Drive Control Systems business area
- Define and monitor project goals, milestones, and budgets
- Ensure projects are delivered within 100% of the approved budget; implement recovery plans when necessary
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, developers, and customers
- Coordinate activities across departments and international branches
- Report project / program status to the steering committee (STC)
- Organize and lead project meetings with internal and customer teams
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, internal and external processes, and schedules
- Identify and manage risks, developing effective solutions
- Manage engineering change requests to increase profitability and meet technical requirements
- Maintain and update project documentation through the PLM structure
- Establish project rules and best practices; manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Track budgets and update monthly forecasts
Requirements
BSc or MSc in Engineering, with a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a project managerKnowledge of automotive project management methodologiesStrong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and work with cross-functional teamsExperience with PM processes; background in production, quality, purchasing, marketing, or product / process development is desirableHigh degree of personal integrity and confidenceAbility to make quick, informed decisions under pressure while staying focused on key objectivesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProficiency in English and the local language (spoken and written)What we offer
