We are looking for an experienced Marine Engineer to join our WE-team in the Norway office!
What you will do
- Create technical solutions and link them to sales opportunities
- Provide technical understanding of design drawings of mechanical and electrical systems for ships to the organisation
- Discuss technical challenges and practical arrangements with ship owners, yards and relevant engineering partners
- Contribute with practical experience from sailing onboard a ship and arrangements related to dockings at yards
- Adapt existing regulations from e.g. IMO and EU and class to the offered solutions
Our requirements
Eligible to work and live in Oslo, NorwayM.Sc. or B.Sc. in relevant field (vast working experience may compensate for lack of right education)Strong understanding of operating large ocean-going vessels. Experience of working with container vessel or LNG carriers is seen as a benefit.Knowledge of technical matters related to ship engines & machinery, electrical power systems, and hydrodynamicsExcellence in team working and communication in multicultural environmentsExperience from extensive sales or conversion projectsFluency in English, written and spoken. Nordic language skills are beneficial.The ideal candidate will contribute with solid and relevant insights for our retrofit solutions. New-building projects will also be part of the job.
