Overview

Imenco AS is seeking a highly driven and strategic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join the leadership team. Imenco is a global supplier of advanced engineering products and services for the energy, maritime, and industrial sectors, with operations in Norway, the UK, the USA and Brazil. The goal is to accelerate growth, strengthen the global brand, and build long-term client relationships.

This role offers a unique opportunity to : Drive growth by leading Imenco’s commercial strategy and global sales and business development activities to ensure consistent revenue growth; Lead strategically by identifying and capitalizing on new markets and opportunities; Build partnerships by negotiating and securing major contracts, frame agreements, and long-term relationships with key clients and partners. The preferred workplace is the head office in Grinde, Tysvær, but the role requires significant travel and we are flexible on location to sit at other Imenco offices.

Key tasks and responsibilities

As our new CCO you will work closely with senior leaders to align commercial activities with production capacity, engineering timelines, and innovation efforts. You will also play a key role in strengthening Imenco’s agent network and ensuring market entries are based on solid business intelligence and execution strategies.

Your main tasks will be :

  • Developing and implementing Imenco’s commercial growth strategy in line with overall company strategy
  • Leading and following up on global sales activities and tender processes
  • Negotiating and closing contracts, including project-based deals and long-term frame agreements
  • Strengthening Imenco’s international agent network and expanding into new markets and customer segments
  • Contributing to strategic pricing, contract structures, and commercial risk management

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in international B2B sales from relevant industries such as energy, maritime, or industrial sectors. A higher education in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields is expected, with a strong ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on commercial leadership.

  • To excel in this role, you will need :
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or an energy-related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience, including several years in a senior commercial leadership role with a proven track record
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical sales, ideally with equipment, systems, or services for offshore or energy markets
  • Solid knowledge of complex sales cycles, tender processes, framework agreements, and risk management
  • In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will possess :

  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships
  • Strong strategic and structured thinking, with the ability to translate business goals into effective commercial initiatives
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach
  • Fluency in English is essential for clear communication within our diverse workforce, while proficiency in other Scandinavian languages is advantageous.
