We invest heavily in research and development to find solutions, together with the industry, that address strategic, operational or regulatory challenges.

Right now, the Maritime industry needs to reduce the CO2 emissions from international shipping. DNV is a key player to help the industry reach these goals.

We strongly believe that our digitalization initiatives provided by our unit are important measures in reaching these necessary goals in the coming years. We constantly innovate to make the most of data and technology.

The combined solution of our ~350 applications support all aspects of the business for both our customers and internal users - and are delivered continuously several times per week.

We are looking for highly motivated UX / UI designer to further strengthen our development center in Høvik. You will be a part of the global Maritime Digital Development team tasked with delivering state-of-the-art solutions and helping customers reach their goals.

Our technology platform is a web-centric set of microservices that leverages the latest Microsoft technology stack and open-source solutions, both on-premise and in the Azure cloud. The platform is based on innovative use of web components and application composition using the latest in web technologies. We are also expanding our machine learning / AI platform for data analysis and human assistance tools.

What do we expect as a UX / UI designer?

As a UX / UI designer in Maritime Digital Development you will collaborate with other UX / UI designers, business domain experts, and developers in different development projects. For some of these projects (new once) you will provide all the UX / UI deliverables such as journey maps, personas, wireframes, and prototypes driven by insight from both quantitative and qualitative user research. And for other projects (maintenance of existing) you may just contribute with good feedback and propose small adjustments based on your expertise.

You will also be part of a UX / UI team with several experts and a lot of competence. This team gathers several times a week to discuss problems, solutions and share knowledge.

The team plays an important role in aligning the various tools, services, and processes developed by Maritime Digital Development, this to ensure a seamless 'one-DNV experience' for our application users.
