The Role
Are you ready to kickstart your career in Maritime? We are seeking a newly graduate to join our team in 2026. The DNV Approval Centre Europe (M-SA) within Maritime Ship Classification consists of six production departments, located across three different locations (Gdynia, Hamburg and Oslo (Høvik)). The main delivery from the Approval organization is approval, verification and certification services for different maritime related assets in accordance with our rules.
We are now looking for a graduate to strengthen our Propulsion & Steering section in Oslo. You will be part of an engaged team driven by our technical competence and motivation to support our customers through consistent delivery of high-quality services.
The Propulsion & Steering section is an international and cross-location team with colleagues working in Oslo and Hamburg. As a graduate in our section, you will have a dedicated mentor. You will become part of a highly qualified team focusing on ship machinery components and systems like propellers, thrusters, reduction gears, steering gears, shafting systems and couplings. We are also responsible for torsional vibration calculations, whirling and shaft alignment analyses. Our section works closely with equipment manufacturers, yards, design offices and ship managers / owners. We are responsible for approval of ship machinery systems mainly against DNV classification rules and relevant international regulations.
In the propulsion & steering approval team, we continuously strive to be perceived as a highly competent resource unit by giving valued support to both external customers and our DNV stations worldwide.
